    Worth the extra money

    Every time I buy a new printer, I vow that the next one will be a color laser - but so far, that hasn't happened. When my previous Brother multi-function died recently (after some 8 years of faithful service), I decided that THIS time I'd get that color laser, and researched them. Then I discovered that mere mortals can buy a duplexing (prints both sides) one, two-tone as well as color, and the price works out about the same. Since I already have access to an excellent color inkjet, I decided to forego the color in favor of the duplexing, and I'm really glad I did; I've probably saved a ream of paper so far. We haven't tried the color scanning yet (my husband also has a stand-alone scanner), but having a flat-bed scanner is a big advantage for copying a page from a book or magazine. I ...
