About this product

Product Information

Battle enemy humans and aliens in hand-to-hand combat in this futuristic take on the Street Fighter games series. Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight for Nintendo Entertainment System is a classic console game that transports the martial arts action to a futuristic world set in 2010. Enjoy challenging gameplay, interesting characters, and exciting fighting action. In Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight, for NES, you play as Ken, the original fighter from the first game who has transformed himself into a crime-fighting cyborg. Ken lives in an advanced future where technology exists to travel between worlds through portals. Ken is a scientist and former martial arts fighter who seeks to avenge the death of his lab partner, Troy. At the start of the game, Ken gives himself a bionic upgrade and follows on the heels of Troy’s murderer. You must travel between worlds and fight off enemies while seeking justice and working to contain the spread of a substance called Cyboplasm, which gives super strength to anyone who comes into contact with it. This installment in the Street Fighter series is a side-scrolling platformer video game. You use the classic Nintendo controller to attack, shoot, run, and jump. You can also use the controller to make Ken hang on to ledges, climb, or do flip jumps. Ken does not shoot a gun, but shoots energy from his fists. He can shoot in a variety of directions based on the buttons you choose on your controller. He can also punch and kick his enemies. You can increase the range of your shots throughout the game as you gain experience and pick up power capsules. Damaging attacks decrease the power of your own attacks. You fight a boss at the end of each stage and a final boss at the end. Enemies and bosses become more difficult as you play, and defeating the boss at each stage opens a portal to the next stage. Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight for NES is a spinoff of the original Capcom Street Fighter arcade and console game series. Capcom originally released it in Japan and North America in 1990. The Japanese version includes a few differences, including different character names. This product is the North American console version. The game comes as a ROM cartridge that is compatible with NES game systems. It is not compatible with other Nintendo gaming platforms, such as 3DS, Wii, or Wii U. However, later digital console versions are available for these game consoles. Although this Capcom game does not have an official rating, it is appropriate for many different ages. This Street Fighter 2010 NES game features detailed, colorful graphics and interesting sound effects. The controls are smooth, and you can use the basic buttons on your NES controller to produce a wide variety of different attacks. The gameplay is both fun and challenging. It is difficult enough that you can enjoy hours of gaming fun but is not too difficult to enjoy. The game is only available in single player mode, but you can add players by taking turns with the controller.

    Underrated

Good graphics and music, this game and I only got so far before I got stuck and had to start using game genie. I was about to write the game off as a flop before I got to the last level. Game genie destroys virtually all challenge ( invincibility) until you get to the end where you must race against time and there is a challenge. The last level alone makes this game a 5 star game. You have to keep playing it until you get fast enough and when you do it makes it all worth it.

    Street Fighter 2010(Nintendo)

This game will probably only appeal to you if you look to rekindle some nostalgia you had for this game in the past. Archaic controls and simplistic graphics aren't timeless, but it's still fun for a while.

  • Familiar name, completely different premise

There are games that come out of nowhere. There are games that are so far on the difficult side, that when you manage to persevere you feel as if you discovered a cure for cancer. Street Fighter 2010 is both. I never heard of it until I happened upon it at Wal-Mart and when I managed to navigate through its crushing difficulty, I felt as if I was the kid from the movie The Wizard (only cooler, like that Lucas guy with the Power Glove). If you have no idea what I am talking about, consider yourself cooler than I ever was. Just to get this out of the way, but I feel it needs to be mentioned. Despite having the names Street Fighter and Final Fight, both produced by Capcom who made SF 2010, this game has nothing to do with either game. It isn’t even close. SF and FF are gritty, urban ...

  • Underrated challenge

This game is one of those undiscovered great. For beginners it can be very hard to beat the first 3 levels. After learning the mechanics of the game and how the enemies and powerups work, it's still a big challenge. Capcom developers originally tried to link the storyline to the original street fighter arcade game by naming the character Ken and mentioning tournaments in the storyline before the first level. The Japanese version was not as reluctant to follow that connection. This is a great game and should be seen as one of the original classics.

  • A mesmerizing classic for the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Maybe I am being a little biased in saying this game is one of the BEST titles to grace the original Nintendo Entertainment System. I had rented this game MANY times as a kid at the local video store. But all reviews carry some bias, right? I loved this game growing up in the 1990's and still believe it is a great title! First, the level design for an NES game is pretty amazing. Multiple colors fill the screen with unique stand still and moving stages with environments that captivate the mind. Ken travels to different planets fighting bosses with his fist (gun) and two other power ups that are hidden within certain levels. Each level has a single objective, kill the boss and find the portal before time runs out! Although this game completely strays from the Street Fighter giant that ...
