    Vitamix VitaPrep Blender

    I purchased a similar model. The only difference is that the one I purchased has more than one speed. I use this blender almost everyday since I am a raw food vegan. I have tried a wide variety of different uses with this blender. Some of the things I have done are chopping nuts & flax seeds, making smoothies, soup, hummus and even ice cream. This blender is magnificently powerful, easy to use, and gets the job done quickly. The only downside, is that the container can take a bit to clean after making pureed stuff. All in all, a wonderful product that is well worth the price. I would highly recommend this blender to anyone.

    More power

    VitaMix has gone downhill with their newer models and fancy upgrades on their household models. I have burned up a couple of their household models. I finally upgraded to the 1005 VitaPrep. 1hp more than the household models. It has the power to muscle through a raw cheesecake batter made with raw cashews. Their standard model does not handle raw cheesecake. The standard models overheat and smoke out with raw cheesecake, making it necessary to turn off and cool the machine. Usually, the standard models will simply STOP when the task becomes too hard, smelling up the kitchen. Some people will put their machines in the freezer to cool off their household VitaMixes. So far, I have not needed to cool my Commercial VitaPrep 1005. I've had it a couple years. I would not go back to the ...

    Best blender of all Vitamix I owned

    Very easy to use and clean. Extra 1HP power made a big difference, less noise but super power! I blended everything from watermelon to potatoes :-) It works perfectly as advertised! This machine will out last my lifetime :-) (more than 50 years to go). Used it a couple time daily. Thanks Vitamix!!

    Best of the Best...Forget the rest ( ;

    I changed my diet and no longer blend anything so had to let it go...just no room for it and why not let someone else experience the joy of a true commercial grade blender at the price of a lesser powerful home unit. I will miss this machine but that's how it goes. Don't even hesitate to pick one of these up if you ever get the chance. It's worth it's weight in gold especially if you need one in a commercial setting!
