    Fenix 3 is the best value for Garmin watches

    This is the second one I have bought - my other one doesn't have the heart rate monitor. I bought it for an ultra-event I am running at the end of the month. I am planning on swapping my 2 watches out during the race, using a portable charger. These watches are a great value for me. The newest model (FENIX 5) doesn't really have any new features (most importantly increased battery life) that in my mind would justify the price. The fenix 3 is the best value.

    Not easy to read. I bought it, for my Spartan Beast race. Mud around buttons made things impossible to use. Small letters and very dimmly back lit.

    Tons of Features

    I was in the market for an activity tracker and I wanted to upgrade my aging watch. I consider a "Smart Watch" but none was capable of recording some advanced metrics that I wanted to track. I also didn't want a device that was too sporty looking. Since I am an avid cyclists and runner I also wanted something that would easily integrate with the device and app that I've used for the last several years. The Garmin Fenix 3 HR ended up being the best option for me, it actually added some metrics that my current cycling computer don't have. It's cool that I now have VO2 max estate and recovery calculator. And as far as esthetics, I thought that it would look big on my wrist because I have tiny wrists and it does but it doesn't look gaudy. Actually I purchased the metal band and it dresses up ...

    Garmin Fenix 3 hr watch

    This is the best watch I have ever owned. I have owned, spring wound, quartz, and tuning fork models. This watch has many features. It is everything I could imagine in a watch and more. Another positive feature is the quality of this watch and Garmin support. At present I own several Garmin products. I would not hesitate to purchase other Garmin products.

    Not for bumpy road otherwise excellent

    This is a real outdoor watch, there is no other one to be compared. However, when you drive on bumpy road your heart rate " flies" between 35-265!! But this is "understandable" Anyhow I like it very much.
