    We had an awesome portable dvd player that allowed us to receive signals from other devices as well, it was fantastic. We wore 2 of them out over the years and had to have a quick replacement so we settled for this Sony. My daughter can watch about 2 movies on it before the battery dies, it has audio and video out plugs, but not "in". The smooth black finish shows smudges. It has functioned fine for a year now and we've never had any problems, but it is annoying because of one major factor. It has a 7 inch screen and never uses it all. If you are watching 4:3, it has black bars on the side. If you are watching 16:9, instead of filling the whole 7 inch screen, you get black bars on the sides AND the top. I have never figured out how to fill the whole screen. From the "LCD Mode" ...

    If you need a Portable DVD Player, Sony DVP~FX730 is THE ONE!

    This is an EXCELLENT Portable DVD Player! Sony really got this one right! The battery, even on these used ones, lasts over 4 hours. I bought one brand new years ago and played it everday, literally! It lasted for about 7 years with that kind of use. So, I have since bought 2 used ones and I use them interchangeably. The color is perfect, the picture is crisp and clear ~ not blurry, and the sound is excellent. I can't turn it all the way up because it gets TOO loud! Coolest little machine I've ever owned!

    Great product! We love it.

    I purchased this as entertainment for our 2-1/2 year old grandchild, it has turned out to be a great investment. Nice picture and sound, easy to use. It has an optional lock on it so little ones can't push buttons while the DVD plays. Small enough to carry in a purse for travel. Has jacks for two headphones and jacks to connect audio and visual to other products. A/C and D/C adapters and rechargeable battery that lasts about 2 to 3 hours in DVD mode, and 4 to 5 hours in CD mode. Has a remote control, which I never use. I haven't used any others to compare, but I have no complaints about this one, it does everything I want and we are very happy with it.
