I ordered these after a mount point on my trusty, 20 year-old headphones broke. Since my wife and I both work from home, headphones are a must. I was encouraged when I got a 'item shipped' notification shortly after placing the order, but the shipment was delayed. I ended up finding a way to glue the hinge on my old cans back together, which is good since the sound quality of these AKG's will relegate them to backup status. The sound is clean and precise, but the sense of presence is nonexistent

    Great for monitor, not so hot for mix

    I bought these to replace my trusty 20 year-old 'cans that finally had a failure at a muff mount. My wife and I both office at home, so working from my monitor speakers is not always an option. Since most of what I do involves mix, I needed some new headphones that had good spatial representation. These AKG's are nice enough, but were not exactly what I was hoping for. If you are a performer and you are wanting to focus totally on your own monitor, these are the headphones for you. If you are working a complex mix, look elsewhere. These headphones deliver a very clean, precise sound with a good representation across a great frequency range, but have no 'presence' whatsoever. I will keep them as backups for when I need monitor, but I was hoping they would be better for mix. I managed to ...

    My girls love it

    You can fit some pretty large dogs in this. It may end up what I use in my car when I cant fit a crate in. Right now its a dog bed though.
