Works well, doesn't fit quite as well as the expensive OEM hoods
The expensive OEM hoods are a perfect fit: they easily push on, then easily are turned until the positively snap on. This one has a bit of friction when pressing it into the bayonet lugs. One is not sure it is in the right place, until one rotates it and it snaps on. I would buy it again, as it works and is a fraction of the price of an OEM hood. It just takes some getting used to, as it isn't the perfect fit the OEM ones are.The expensive OEM hoods are a perfect fit: they easily push on, then easily are turned until the positively snap on. You Get What You Pay For
If you use a lens hood once and awhile and you don't take it off and on all the time this hood from JJC will work fine. If you plan on using it a lot DO NOT BUY THIS HOOD! It's build quality is cheap and it doesn't fit as well as OEM hood but it is half the price or more of a OEM hood. Just know that you are not getting a OEM hood and maybe spend a little more for a OEM hood.

Great fit for a aftermarket product
Purchased this at the same time I purchased a Canon EFS 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lense. This hood works as well as the original Canon hood, what else can I say there are no moving parts it just twist and locks into place. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good price on a very necessary part for taking better pictures when photographing outdoors.

Locking Bayonet
Nice light lens hood with a lock. I don't wanma talk about how many others I have dropped off my shoulder strap. THIS one is staying on, thanks to the locking feature. What else to say about a lens hood? It fits. It is black. It hoods my lens good.

Great lens hood for my RX1R II =]
I imagine this would work on the previous models as well, but I got this for my RX1R II! This is a SOLID, quality product made of ALUMINUM, and NOT PLASTIC. It's light, feels securely attached to the lens when used and has a minimal footprint on your setup as opposed to the more rectangular versions of this model. The build of this replacement of the Sony LHP-1 lens hood for the RX1/R series compared to the original make this a no-brainer choice in comparison by price!
