There's plenty of wood in this kit to make many shims and several cut to size that I used without having to shape one from the large plate of wood included. This is exactly what I was looking for and if you need wood shims for guitar nuts, this is a great kit to provide just that in the right sizes. Several types of wood are included, of varying colors, all with sufficient density that they will not compress with the nut you place on top of them.
