    Good amp for general use with auto power.

    There was a small amount of noise when adjusting the volume, though only during adjustment. Other than that the main thing was to use the second input so the auto power on works correctly. This is apparently a known issue with this amp. Basically, it is a simple amp of decent quality that does one thing well. I'm using it for a computer amp. I'm pretty sure you can get class D amps of similar quality these days, but likely for significantly higher prices.

    Good Until It Blew UP

    I am a have been an owner of previously purchased new AudioSource products including both an Amp-One and an AMP-100 and I have enjoyed many hours of trouble free operation from these amplifiers. However, this particular AMP-100 amplifier lasted for 3 days and then BLEW UP! The fuse that was designed to protect the amplifier failed, but not in time to protect the amplifier, resulting in instant catastrophic damage to a circuit board capacitor and a puff of smoke! I would have never guessed that a modern amplifier circuit would be capable of filling a room full of smoke "smelling of ozone." The fact is that the product failed and without a warranty it is an apparent loss; I guess that you could say that I have BAD LUCK too. :)

    Audio Source amp 100

    Bought 2 0f these (one for backup), and used one at an outdoor concert to power four 12" Gemini GSM1260 speakers, using a 12 volt Marine battery and an inverter for power. The Amp 100 worked flawlessly. It provided plenty of volume @ half throttle with excellent clarity. I am a singer/guitarist, specializing in Sinatra style ballads, easy rock and a little older Country mixed in with some Flamenco and Renaissance instrumentals. I will be using Amp 100's from now on, and will never go back to my guitar amps (all but one 60 watt Hartke head are going to be sold off - on E-bay, of course!). jon122643

    Great basic amp

    I bought the amp used, but in good condition to power outdoor patio speakers being driven by my Sonos Connect preamp. I've had absolutely no issues with it, has worked very well and have been impressed with the quality of sound that it produces using outdoor Yamaha speakers. Being an electronic device, I am sure that there are other units that have had some problems, but mine has been flawless and I am currently considering buying another to drive ceiling speakers in a playroom.

    Perfect Solution for Casual Zone 2 Listening!

    I bought this amp in the hope that it would boost my Zone 2 power output, in which I was previously driving two sets of speakers directly from my Onkyo 7.2 Receiver... Powered Zone 2 as Onkyo calls it. However, I could never turn the power level above 40% without the speakers cutting out. I figured the impedance was too low with two sets of speakers so I kept the volume at a minimum to avoid damage to the receiver. The AMP 100 is exactly what I was looking for! I just connected the Zone 2 line out connections on my receiver to the Line 2 inputs on this amp (basically using my Receiver as a Preamp only), and my volume problems were solved! In fact, my Zone 2 speakers now sound better than they ever did before! Driving both speakers A & B with the volume at the 12 o'clock position is ...
