    LOVE IT!! Awesome Lens package

Was looking at the Canon 10-18 mm . This is better. You get more for your money. Clear and crisp glass. I love the fact it comes standard with the case and lens hood. It was heavier than I expected for a small lens but that means it well built. Can't wait to take it out on my road trips across the country. Great price and lens

  • Always test a lens when you get one.

The Sigma 10-20mm is a great lens for the money. However, I suggest that if you buy one you test it first! It wasn't until I brought some images on to my computer that I noticed that my copy of the lens is soft. I made sure it wasn't an error on my part by doing a simple test: Use a tripod, a remote shutter, and mirror lockup, and shoot at different focal lengths and apertures. The "sweet spot" for this lens if f/8-11, and even messing about with different shutter speeds, my images are soft, as in, soft ALL OVER the image. Something you WILL find with nearly every copy of this lens is that it is a bit soft on corners, which is to be expected; it is a very wide focal length. Luckily it comes with Sigma's warranty, so I will be able to send it to them ...

  • Lightweight and Great for the Price

I purchased this lens to use for landscape photography. The seller was excellent and helped the transaction go very smoothly. Excellent ulta-wide/wide angle lens. I have combined it with a 77mm polarizer for my outdoor photos and have been extremely happy with it.

  • Cheaper/ Wider than Canon/other competition. Get one and have fun!

I bought this lens to cover the wide angle focal lengths for my photography. I couldn't afford the expensive canon 10-22mm but opted for this against Tokina 11-16/ 12-24 and Tamron 10-24. I'm very glad I settled for this and got a great copy. Sure it's a bit slower than the other brands but for a wide angle lens, you are most likely have to stop down. The Built quality is awesome, I loved the HSM motor, very fast and silent. I haven't had a chance to compare this lens to other competitions but I'm pretty sure I'll still settle for the widest focal which is 10mm. Some people hate the distortion of this kind of lens but I love it! especially for portraits, it makes it fun and artistic. Lens flare has not been a real issue for me because that's easy to handle. Overall, this lens has been ...

  • Great wide lens for amateur landscape photography

I got this lens because I wanted something wide for a trip I'm taking to several of the national parks this summer. I've brought it on a few hiking trips so far to test it out, and I am thoroughly pleased with the results! I'm a complete amateur photographer, and this lens has totally fit my needs. The images are plenty sharp for me, and the price tag on this lens really can't be beat. No, it's probably not fit for a professional, but if you're just looking for a wide lens to capture great landscape scenes, this is the lens for you!
