About this product

Product Information

If you're constantly on the move or work long hours on the computer without your favorite tunes, then the 7th generation Apple iPod Classic is the product for you. You can take your favorite music, movies, pictures, and audiobooks with you wherever you go and have it all rest in the palm of your hand. Entire discographies, podcasts, and novels are a few swipes away thanks to the easy to use click wheel, and they are all easily and neatly organized for your convenience. Now you can groove on the go without missing a beat. The sleek, black color of the Apple iPod Classic gives it a dark and stylish appearance with a bit more of a toned-down, modern look than iPod styles from previous generations. It still has all the useful functions, user-friendly design, and top of the line attributes that make these Apple products more than a simple MP3 player. This Apple iPod Classic from the 7th generation has thirty-six hours of battery life when only playing music on a full charge, and it has six hours of video playback life. If you're out of the house and away from an outlet and computer for most the day, this iPod and its long battery life ensures that you won't be without some form of entertainment to keep you company. The Apple iPod Classic has a screen size of 2.5 inches, which is a full-color LCD screen with a LED backlight, making it useful to double as a flashlight. It supports the playback and storage of several video types, including MPEG and MOV. Now you can keep your favorite movies, videos, and TV show episodes in your purse, pocket, or briefcase and watch them whenever you please. You can't think iPod without thinking of music, and the Classic doesn't slack on this front. With its powerfully impressive 120GB storage capacity, you can hold up to 30,000 songs, 150 hours of videos, 25,000 photos, or any combination of the three. Users can also easily transfer their audio, video, picture, and sound files to and from the iPod Classic with a few clicks. A whole host of formats is supported on the Classic, including standard MP3, VBR, AAC, and even ALAC, the Apple Lossless audio format. It even lets you listen to Audible files, which is great for any avid readers on the go. The 7th generation Apple iPod Classic works with any USB 2.0 port. You can plug it into any wall outlet to get a full charge or hook it up to a laptop, computer, or keyboard port to do the same and transfer files. This particular model of the Classic also has an FM radio tuner that allows you to listen to any station within the area. You can also pause the live feed to access the name of the song that's currently streaming, all without hoping the DJ supplies the information for you.

Other vendors sold "refurbished" iPods that wouldn't hold a battery charge, kept crashing, etc. Mike Givens has integrity. I'm 100% happy with my refurb iPod; it behaves like a new one. Price was fair, shipping was timely, and my two questions (one before the sale, one after) were answered promptly and clearly. Mike even said write him if I have any problems after the warranty period expires, because he wants every customer to be happy. Would definitely order from this vendor again.

The iPod came quickly and exactly as described! Everything runs smoothly, and I was able to plug it into my MacBook and put music on it straight out of the package. I would recommend this seller to anyone looking for a modded iPod!

Fast shipping and exactly as described. Seller responded to my request for help and was able to give me some tips on a syncing issue that happened with my PC - not an iPod issue, but my PC. iPod is super clean and the color I picked looks great. It works just as I remember my old iPod but even better with long battery life and huge storage. I may be getting another iPod from this seller as a gift for a relative. Couldn't be happier!

    Black 120GB iPod

The iPod I bought was of the last generation of iPods, very thin, in several colors and high capacity topping at 160GB, before they line was discontinued 3 or 4 years ago,In the height of MP3 players, iPods were the dominating product, easy to use, great functionality and sound, Initially it was a bit bulky due to the size of the hard drive and battery and with relatively small capacity (5-10 gigs), constrained by the existing technology, but that didn't stop many of music aficionados like me, to start converting their music CD collection and creating an iTunes library, as time went by, Apple came out with models with more capacity and thinner,. The 120GB I got was almost like new condition, no scratches and working perfectly.

    Bad hard drive

I was unable to sync any music to the iPod so I used the CopyTrans software and I was able to sync a few thousand songs. Every time I tried to sync with iTunes there were errors.I thought it might be because the hard drive wasn't formatted correctly so after formatting to Fat32 I ran diagnostics and it had 16000 bad sectors. I ran 2 different hard drive recovery programs that failed. After testing I wasn't able to sync with CopyTrans anymore. The hard drive needs to be replaced.

  • Still alive iPod Classic

When Apple launched it's iPod series, I doubt that even they had any idea how far and how widely accepted the iPod would become. This goes to show that if you truly develop an exceptional product, people will want it. [If you build it, they will come]. Based on a HDD, the iPod Classic remains stiff competition. Although there are newer, lighter, more appealing models of the iPod, there is just something about owning an iPod classic. You are part of history. Sure the new Classic is much improved to the 1st generation models, with its smaller form factor, sleeker design, and inclusion of Video. If you are looking for storage space for your HUGE music library, this model is the way to go. It's nice to have flash based players, but you will never get the storage space of a HDD based ...

  • Nice Product but somewhat unresponsive 2 touch commands

The iPod is a great little device to always have your MP3 library on the go with you. Strongly recommend you upgrade the standard earbuds to perhaps a full earcup style headphones like the Sennnheiser HD202 model which can be found online for around $20. Fantastic sound at a great price. Using iTunes with the iPod can be frustrating at times with all the limitations and restrictions imposed by Apple, Inc. The new iPod classic is noticeably less responsive to touch commands than earlier generation iPod models. The vast amount of storage space in the 120GB model is worth the investment if it costs you less than $200, such as did mine. The video capability is nice but it can become uncomfortable viewing video on such a small screen after a short while. Even if you do not own much digital ...

  • everyone knows about ipods...

iPods are great when they work...the only problem is, this is my 3rd one in my life. In general if you take good care of it, they'll last, but sometimes there are aberrations and/or flukes. My last one was only 2 years old when it crapped the bed. My new iPod Classic hasn't given me any problems yet. Seems good. Having 120 Gigs is amazing, I don't have to be selective about what movies/music I put on it. It's pretty great having an iPod with a hard drive almost the size of my entire computer. iPod's are so great that even when they break we buy new ones -- I just wish Apple's best selling product was more reliable. That's why I don't give the "excellent" rating.
