In Auto mode, this compact camera is very easy to use. It offers quite a lot for the advanced user who prefers manual settings. Given the small sensor, the photos are very good at any normal size. Photos taken at the maximum zoom range are somewhat noisy, but perfectly usable. In all, it is a very versatile and very portable.

This camera is worthless. Too much photographic noise at any and every ISO setting. Grainy, too grainy. Not suitable for any type of photography, period. Your are much better off buying the ZS100. It's like day and night because of the better 1 inch sensor.

I've only had the camera for a week so I can't really tell you what I think about it. It has so many features it will take months of use to begin to understand all the capabilities of the camera. But yes I do think it has great value for the price.

The camera comes with a lot more bells and whistles than I am used to with previous point and shoot cameras. That said, it is a great camera overall and still easy to use, once you dumb it down a bit. For enthusiasts I am sure it will be a delight.

So far I have only used the auto settings. I feel there is a lot to learn, but in the mean time I'm getting great photos. I purchased this camera for its view finder and zoom. I was tired of not being able to see what I was taking a photo of in the screen of my cell phone. On a sunny day, I couldn't see anything. Later I would find blurry photos of one of my fingers. That's no longer an isdue, and the zoom is great.
