    Six decades of gorgeous girls and publishing history

    Hugh Hefner revolutionized the men's magazine field with the publication of the first issue of Playboy in 1953, and this incredible book really reveals (among other things) why the magazine attained more success and greater circulation than any men's magazine before or since Playboy began publication. The book's subtitle describes it perfectly: 6 decades of centerfolds. This mammoth volume manages to cover just about every Playmate of the Month since Marilyn Monroe was the "Sweetheart of the Month" in the first issue. Not only are there a variety of photos, mostly from the secondary pictorial shots that accompanied the actual centerfold shot, but there are also notes from editor-publisher Hugh Hefner, art director Art Paul, photographers like Pompeo Posar and Mario Casilli and a great ...

    The Playmate Book (2005)

    We saw the book "The Playmate Book (2005) in a shop in the Palms in Las Vegas on a recent trip. Our daughter really wanted the book, but the price was a bit steep. I found the same book that she wanted on e-Bay for a fraction of the cost, so I purchased it for her as a birthday gift. She was pleased as it was the exact book she saw (and wanted) in Vegas, and I saved some cash.

    hugh's the man

    this is one great book ,all the playboy playmate from #1 ,see how thing have change over the year,but something have not are love for women.hugh hefner is a great man for all his done and his book is great. buy one now.

    I bought the Playmate book for my sweetie for Christmas

    It's pretty self explanitory. It's all the centerfolds from past playboys but with articles about the playmates then and now. Very Very nice book. Hard cover, color and well done. He loved it.

    This book is so helpful in finding out different stuff about Playboy and Playmates. I reccomend anyone to buy it. If you are a fan of Playboy, you definetly need to get this.
