Own two of these cameras now. Great photos, nice size for travel, and also has great accessories. The camera has both a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens available. I also was able to purchase a marine housing for snorkling. So this little camera can not only take great photos on land it can take them underwater. Don't let the idea of 8.1 mega pixels not being enough. I have made 11"X13" photos that would make any photographer proud. What is also great is all the acessories fit into a reasonable size camera bag. I hike and climb hands free with camera and both lens in a small waist pouch for easy access when on the trail. I hope to take this camera on many world wide adventures.
These cameras are 2008 models, and they have two features that Sony has abandoned that I consider important. They have a Carl Zeiss German designed lens that seems superior to most cameras of this class. Also, they have an additional optical viewfinder that is certainly better than using an LCD screen in bright sunlight. That optical viewfinder allows one to hold the camera up close and steady, much better than trying to hold the camera steady at arms length with the LCD screen. If these good features were not enough, the camera has a High Definition setting that allows you to view your pictures, wide full frame, on a high definition TV set; the pictures are glorious on my high definition large screen TV. This is a used camera like one I've had but which had broken. But I still had the underwater case and needed a replacement. This one was available for a low price. It still works fine and I used it in the case when I went snorkeling in Mexico last week.
