We do not have a shortwave radio antenna to test this receiver, but by using a wire were able to pull-up a local AM radio station -- with a lot of background static. We believe there's a good chance that this receiver is fully functional, but we do not have a shortwave radio antenna or know-how, so we were not able to fully test this unit.
