Very Satisfied with My DELL PC Monitor!
I have used this "remanufactured" Dell monitor for about a week now and I think it is operating perfectly! I have always used HP electronic devices, but have known that Dell produced a very good product. Now...more than just hearing about Dell's great reputation, I am experiencing just why it has excelled in the PC monitor market.

I guess I like everything about it except the low resolution capacity. It can only go up to 1280x1024 which seems rather small for such a large screen. This looks fine as far as image quality, but it doesn't give me any more desktop real estate than I had on my 17" CRT that had a higher resolution. The plusses are: Looks very nice and sleek sitting on the desk, clear picture, easy auto configuration and great value being a highly trusted name brand. I would say if you just need a high quality monitor for everyday use and you are not a technophile - got for it. If you are very discerning about resolution and want something that will support what your video card can put out, get something with a higher resolution.I guess I like everything about it except the low resolution capacity. Dell E197FP (Black) LCD Monitor
This monitor is perfectly suited for normal home computer use. Well built, with a clean simple design. The control menu is easy to use, but the adjustment ranges are somewhat limited. The brightness and contrast spectrum is very slight, you hardly notice a change in the brightness adjustment at all. The color is very good, but don't expect to be wowed if you are watching any videos on it. Large pictures and video tend to be slightly washed out, even after adjusting the contrast. I am so happy I found this exact model monitor that originally came with my Dell computer back when dinosaurs walked on the Earth. My old one finally failed on me and when I replaced it with this one...It actually WORKED!!! And still works months and months later - with a brilliant imaging and colors. Yay!
