As soon as I placed the order the seller contacted me. That was a pleasant surprise, he let me when the lens would be arriving and if it didn't arrive on time to inform him immediately. It arrived on time and in perfect condition, it was well packaged and the item I purchased was in mint condition as advertised. Very happy!

Item description very accurate however I could detect the dust on images and seller was very accommodating with regards to it and I am happy with the outcome. Seller was very cordial and professional during the entire communication process and I would definitely purchase from this seller again. Oh, and I received the item very quickly too.

    Prime lens, SHARP images!

Now realize I just received this lens. The f/1.4 aputure is a game changer. My other lenses are 3.5 and further out. The pics I've taken so far are sharp and clear. This will take some getting use to from my other lenses.

    Unfortunate characteristic of this lens

This is the first Sigma Art lens I have bought, reviews were all favourable for this lens. However I have found that the lens has an unfortunate characteristic in that it suffers from chromatic aberration when wide open, ie on the picture of a yellow flower with a dark background, the edges of the petals have a purple tinge. This can sometimes be fixed in photoshop but is a lot of fiddling about. This problem disappears if the lens is stopped down a stop or two. Otherwise the lens is well made and focuses flawlessly on my Nikon DSLR.

  • Best lens for this price range

The price for this lens is truly impeccable. I would say with all my experience as a photographer for this price rang of prime lenses(150$-375$) that this is the best lens for your buck. My only issue with this lens is that in order to focus on an object you must be AT LEAST 15 inches away, so that kind of ruins the "pop" of the 1.4/f. But all in all I would highly recommend this lens to the average photographer.

  • Great Lens

Awesome lens, great for a variety of things. Purchased specifically for taking baby photos and it has been great.

  • Amazing But

I had some issues with autofocus in my nikon D300, its not accurate, fail about 18 ~ 23% on the shots with LiveView mode (most accurate af shot mode on nikon). However, the image quality is great from f/2.2, from f/2.8 is amazing and really sharo, but at f/1.4 is improvable.
