Big Power, No Modern Connections
I have this receiver and remote which I purchased in the late 70s it plays sounds well. However, I just ordered an atmos receiver, Sony STRD790 to replace it. I did have it hooked up to a new Sony T.V. a XBR55X900H. You can use the headphones out put on the T.V. with a splitter to one of the RCA inputs on the old Sony Receiver but the sound is delayed so you cannot use the T.V. speakers and stereo speakers together. The Sony STR-D11 does not have a dedicated subwoofer output. The Sony STR-D11 does have a lot of power and can push very large speakers but it does not have any HDMI connections, blue tooth or the ability to pass 4K video signal through the receiver. For approximately $360 dollars a less powerful receiver with most of the modern features to compliment a modern 4K T.V.I have this receiver and remote which I purchased in the late 70s it plays sounds well.
