Excellent machine for beginners and experienced sewers alike! Fun and easy to use! Very older child friendly!
Brother XL-2610 is a superb sewing machine! Had my Granddaughter up and sewing in 20 minutes! Very user friendly littler machine. Very easy to learn! Strong and feels solid. I have to admit I was very pleasantly surprised! It has a very nice selection of stitches and the machine is well labeled. Think this would be an excellent "travel" machine! The cost was very reasonable for something I feel is going to be an excellent investment and learning machine!Brother XL-2610 is a superb sewing machine! Happy with Machine
I'll be honest. The pink is what drew me to this sewing machine in the first place! But I also learned that it is a good overall machine, particularly for beginners and for all your basic and even not-so-basic sewing needs. I've completed a few sewing projects since I got the machine, and have been pleased with the results. Easy to thread the machine, wind the bobbin and insert it. I like the light that illuminates the needle/presser foot area. Perhaps it's just my technique, but I find that the foot pedal (for sewing speed) is rather sensitive and speeds up a bit too easily, yet if you lesten the pressure, it's too slow, and I've a hard time finding the happy middle-ground. Maybe I'll get the hang of it yet. I haven't sewn on many machines, so I can't comment on how normal this ... I'll be honest. The pink is what drew me to this sewing machine in the first place! I bought the Brother XL-2610 sewing machine for my granddaughters 6th birthday. She loves to help me sew on my machine so I thought it would be a good time for her to learn on her own machine. The box looked like it may have been opened when I recieved it, so I was a little skeptical. But everything was there and it words beautifully. It has everything she needs, and more, to get started on her sewing career. I like it better than my machine.
