Philips TSU2000 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control
A little tricky at first to program but once it is customized it works well. You can use it without customizing and it will learn codes from your existing remotes by putting the Pronto in its learn mode and then pushing buttons on your existing remotes which is a lot better than inputing manufacturer codes from a list. If you are looking for a multy colored display this remote is not for you but if you want a fully programmable remote for short money then this is it. Just make sure you get a data cable and software included with your remote or you will not be able to customize it and the data cable is $35 if you have to buy one. There is also an optional battery pack and charger that saves you from having to replace 4 AA batteries and it works really well. If you can buy a Pronto with the ... Confusion Made Simple
I own two of these remotes. At first I found the TSU2000 intimidating. Upon spending time learning how to custom program to fit my equipment, I thoroughly enjoy their ease of use. Our home theater systems are quite extensive and require several remotes to make it all sing. The Pronto remotes have simplified system operations. Before the Pronto my wife was intensely frustrated and confused with the pile of remotes. She can now enjoy our home theater without coaching thanks to our Pronto. These remotes have been on the market for years and are no longer in production. They retailed new for $ 400.00. They can be had now for a fraction of the original price. Interesting but really effective!
Easy to use remote. Took me a few minutes to learn without the manual but after you figure out the learning controls its a flash! It holds so much storage for various things, TV, DVD, HDTV, Satellite, Surround, etc. Its perfect for converting the hundred remotes into 1 solid piece of equipment. Its touch screen and easy to use. Great product overall!

Great remote for learning IR codes
This remote is very outdated to use as a universal remote. But it is a great tool to use for learning IR codes, then viewing the HEX codes in the Pronto software. You can use these HEX codes to generate all the available IR commands for the device you are using. A pronto TSU1000 or TSU2000 is a must have tool for any control system programmer.

hard to see
This remote is hard to see. the screen is just blury and washed out. I do need glasses for some up close things but this is sub par if you ask me....
