This handy meter works better than those costing more than a hundred dollars! so for setting up your dish initially, this meter is great, only problem is the digital compass; but since it wasn't the main feature, then I guess it's okay...problem is, I bought it because of the compass. Oh well.

You get what you pay for.
In a nutshell, this is a piece of junk and a big waste of money. I only had one dish to align so I wasn't looking to spend a lot. In the end I brought the TV and receiver out to the dish and used the built in signal strength meter to do the alignment. After the dish was aligned with a signal strength of 98%, I put the meter back inline. There was no difference on the meter between a great signal (98%) and a completely blocked (0%) signal. I only spent a few dollars and free shipping, so it's not worth my time to box it back up & spend more money to ship it back.In a nutshell, this is a piece of junk and a big waste of money. Awesome little device
I have never used one of these before. I pulled mine out of the package, read the instructions and headed to the roof. The whole time I was using it I was thinking to myself this thing cant be doing anything. I kept dropping the gain on it and adjusting the satellite dish a little at a time. I reconnected the satellite to the house and crawled off the roof thinking I had probably just wasted my time. I couldn't have been more wrong! The picture that is now on my big screen TV almost makes it look like you are standing in the picture it is so clear. If I would have though a piece of equipment that cost so little could do so much. This thing would be cheap at twice the price. All in all, an awesome little device.I have never used one of these before. Joke
The old saying you get what you pay for doesn't work in this case. This was a complete piece of junk. Ended up having to tune manually. My receiver said i had lock on 3 different satellites yet this thing didn't light up or make a peep the entire time. Nothing but 0%. Too bad it would probably cost just about as much to send back because this is definitely a non-performer.
