It worked! Excellent value.
I was able to digitize about 16 hours of family VHS tapes with minimal hassle. The software provided took some trial and error...and finding some web support...but it proved simpler than other free on-line choices.

can't get the program to install. doesnt work
i was unable to use the disc it came with because its really small. I could not use the dongle to import because i cannot find the program anywhere on the internet. was able to find a newer version of the program but i donot have the serial key for it and the one i was provided with does not work. I could not use this to import with final cut pro or premiere. really dissapointed!

This hardware/software combo was perfect!
This little device, which included both the hardware, and the software, did just what it said, and was super easy to use. It gave me the ability to save my VHS tapes as digitized files, and also to burn them to DVD. I have plenty of hard drive space on my home network, so just putting all the converted tapes into a master folder made the whole process easy, and searchable. I'm really happy with my purchase, and not to mention that the price was unbelievably low!This little device, which included both the hardware, and the software, did just what it said, and was super easy to use. It gave me the ability to save my VHS tapes as digitized files, and also to burn them to DVD. Had some old family VHS tapes that needed to be digitized before the tapes fell apart. A few hiccups getting it to work in the beginning but after a few tries, it works just fine. Video quality in my specific situation was good (it's a 30-year old VHS tape, not much quality to start with), though the "best" picture setting creates outrageously large video files. If you're converting VHS, don't use the highest setting - I guarantee you can't tell the difference. Works Very Well On Win 10
Tested it with a Nintendo Wii console using OBS software. Setup was simple and had to play around with the settings to get the whole experience. Quality on the console was at 720x480 @ 50 FPS which is the maximum I can do. I am using the OEM Nintendo Wii RCA cable so this configuration was expected. I will continue testing it out with different types of sources but it works 100%. Quality and functionality works pretty decently. I recommend it as a way to convert VHS to digital files or as an emergency backup AV card adapter for a video streamer.Tested it with a Nintendo Wii console using OBS software.
