Apple Remote, "Just Works" with compatible Mac
Great little remote for the Macs that support IR. These are mostly older ones these days. The new Apple TVs still work with it. In that way, it is somewhat a "universal remote" for any Apple TV, though a lot of the features on new Apple TV models require the remote that they came with.

Needed for Apple TV 2nd Generation
I found an Apple TV 2nd generation at a thrift store and needed a remote to set it up and control it. This remote was inexpensive and worked perfectly. It uses a circular type battery, but found two at Dollar Tree for $1. That should last quite some time.
