I replaced our old Breville with the KitchenAid. The KitchenAid coffee grinder is extremely quiet, and grinds very evenly. I have it set for moka, which means the grind is the size of small table salt. It grinds all of the beans this size, with no powder or larger pieces. Since the bean hopper sits directly over the chute, I don't worry about it clogging. Plus, there's NO STATIC! Static was always a problem with the Breville, causing a mess. You can grind directly into a cappuccino or moka filter, or into the container. The time is preprogrammed, based on grind size and number of cups, but everything is adjustable. You can easily program the amount of time the unit grinds, to produce the amount you need. The grinder will adjust the grinding time, depending on the amount of cups you want, based on your program. Although 15" tall, it has a small, slim,, footprint. It's a well thought out appliance, with KitchenAid quality. Read full review
