This lens has turned my APS-C camera into a proper camera capable of competing with full frame quality and noise. It's equivalent to a 28-56mm F2.8 on full frame which is OK as a standard lens. The slight flaw is focus accuracy. Straight out of the box all the images were blurred as the lens was front focussing by a long way. After a couple of hours tinkering with it using the Sigma USB dock I have sorted it out and am now very pleased with it. I have a Sigma 20mm Art lens which is also fantastic, but I returned my 50mm Art lens as its focus was erratic and it would miss focus is low light on low contrast subjects.

Very difficult and fiddly to fit and align onto lens compared to the original sigma hood. Then when fitted very hard to remove. Being 72mm it is quite big and doesn't fit reversed on the lens when not in use. I have discarded it.

I bought the Sigma 18-35 for my Canon 80D. This lens will not focus precisely without the Sigma USB dock on these cameras I found. Using the dock should take around a few hours using a target which you can print free from the internet. Don’t go spending loadsa money on a target. This is truly a beautiful lens and gives outstanding images. I found the focus to be quick and precise. I sold my 80D and missed it so purchased another one. The lens did not require re calibrating to the second 80D. I also have a Canon M5 and it works perfectly on this camera too despite being calibrated to the 80D. Apparently these Sigma lenses don’t need calibration on mirrorless cameras.

Great focal range, the image is super sharp, awesome depth of field. Using it with my GH5 for video work, but paired with my old Canon 600D it's a monster! Definitely recommended!

Heavy but durable, good value for money considering what it can do. I am really impressed with its performance on my DSLR 700D. I have read/watched many reviews before I made my mind, many have recommended this lens for landscape only. I would say it is more of like all in one. For beginners like me, i say you can shoot portraits, bokeh(s)!!!, landscape, and impressive quality videos. I highly recommend it as a good investment for new comers!
