Infantino Carry On is a good bargan for the infant.
I purchased this iFantino because I had the Old one. This one has the Leg extensions for infants to hold their legs in the M-Position, so the legs to hang causing damage to the ligaments. I Love this because: 1. It has lots of pockets that stretch so I can safely carry and access items without disturbing my baby. 2. It's easy to put on, and take off. Why do I want to take it off easily? Because I put my crying boy into it, and go about my daily tasks (with some hip restriction). Then, after he falls asleep, I let him rest. To do this I bend over, and slide my way out of the carrier. He sleeps peacefully because he was bouncing around with me, and essentially got "rocked" to sleep. 3. I can put him into it, and un-latch and pull him out relatively easily. 4. Because of the open back, it ... I purchased this iFantino because I had the Old one. Because of the open back, it doesnt get as hot. 5. There is a layer of protection between him and I, but it can get a little hot. 6. It really easy to put in a larger boy because the carrier allows you to wear the harness, and flip-down the carrier. Then put him against it, and pull up the carrier and snap the harness. The following reasons are what I dont like about it. So if these following items are deal-breakers, then you may want to spend more on a 360, or a moby-wrap (which I dont like, because he doesnt like). 1. My wife could potentially breast-feed with this carrier (her arms are killing her and the Boppy doesnt cut it). But to do this, I have to loosen up the shoulder straps, and waist strap (before putting it on), and then swivel the carrier left or right, up or down to give him breast access. Because of his mood swings, experimentation isnt an option for my wife, yet. 2. the Waist strap is cool, but can be difficult for my wife to snap it into place by herself. 3. ALTHOUGH THIS CARRIER SUPPORTS "M-POSITIONING", I dont consider this to be confortable for my 9lb boy, because his legs are short. When I put his legs out, it looks like it may be unconfortable for him...(but being that his is so easily bothered, It could be comfortable). -----to remedy this, I've folded up a thick swaddle, and given him an extra 1/2 inch seat inside the carrier. THEN, I've put his feet into the leg supports like in a horses stirrups. He "Seems" comfortable, and less irritated. ---After he get taller, I'll let his legs hang out. 4. when my son is in the carrier, his temple's can rub a little on the separating material. 5. As with all carriers, it can be kind-of hot, so then the straps could become uncomfortable. (I only get to wear this carrier for about 30 minutes at a time). I hope that helps. Pockets, ease of use, and comfort for my wife and my son sold me on this.
