You'll have to re-drill and re-mount the rail slides attached to the shelf, and replace the screws holding the rails on because they are soft, because they are mounted incorrectly so the shelf won't actually slide closed in a 1U space... other than that is is a nice shelf. Quickly shipped and well packed, at a great price.

The sliding rack shelf was found to indeed be well constructed and work very well in my road cases for equipment for which it is convenient to place forward of the rack during operations. The unit does consume the entire 1U (i.e., not a drop shelf) but is up to the task of substantial loading. I'd trade with "raisingelectronics" again w/o hesitation.

Sliding out for first!
It's as described and is just what I needed. Using it as a tray from my wireless mic receivers in a rack case. A portable rack case for a sound system.

Good Except Cannot do 24" Depth
Solid construction, smooth sliding rails. No damage and had all pieces. I took off a star because the description says it can go to 24" rack depth but at the max extension I got only about 21" of depth. The length of the back mounts should be like 5 inches longer.
