The quality is what I expected given the price. I would buy again. It is not sturdy, but it's not flimsy either. In the hand, it's light but doesn't give an obvious flex. Once installed on the rack, you can push downward, and it will give some flex. As long as you're just putting a router or something small on it, this thing is great. If you want to spend more, you can get a much better quality, but if you're looking for value and something that honestly is a little better than 'okay' this is a good option. Also, one of the screw holes wasn't aligned perfectly, so I could sit the item directly on top of another item, so had to skip a hole and mount it there. Don't buy this.
Spend the money and get a steel shelf. This thing is light. too light. Like, I'm amazed it didn't float off after I opened the box. I think the cardboard was heavier. It's a shelf. It works. But the metal is very thin, and can flex and bend very easy. Don't expect to put something heavy on it. it will work for Roku's or Apple Tvs, but I wouldn't trust it with a NAS for example. If I wanted I could very easily bend it out of shape by hand. At $15 shipped this is a great deal, but damn is it cheap. I won't be using it professionally Spend the money and get a steel shelf. Perfect for smaller installs.
I got this for two HP mini desktops I added to my network. What I really like about the design besides the venting, is the fact that the bottom sits slightly higher than the rack space giving devices below it more breathing room. Has been installed about a week now and my switch and router are running cool. Really good buy for small racks..
