First off and the most important BAD thing about this camera it only holds 2 AA batteries which it eats in no time. you can take about 20 photos IF YOU DO NOT mess with the enhancers on 1 set OR click the review button 1 time then the low battery starts flashing. It has very nice quality photos, shakiness control, up close features, panarama features and more. The photos are very clear and sharp easy to use and nice made. however unlike the Lumix camera lines you can select shakiness control AND upclose or other features as with lumix that you can select shakiness and other options at the same time. However after owning 3 lumix's they lock up and wont unfreeze when the battery is low or it decide to act up 2 of the 3 lumix were brand new too not ebay purchases. this olympus has been handed around by family to family taking shots from kids POV to grand parents 95% of them were excellent shots not blurred and this has never locked up. bought the camera for price (2 kids under 5 break small things), familiarity with the product, and the fact that it used the same xD picture cards I have. Functions as well and with the same ease of use as the other olympus cameras I have owned. Finding AA battery life is not as good as the Li ion batteries in the other cameras is the major drawback. size is a little larger, but viewscreen and function buttons are better organized. Should have gotten that version for the same Megapixels. Oh well, live and learn. Service was very prompt from this seller.
OLYMPUS FE-310: The camera came really quickly (like weeks earlier than expected) so that was a huge plus! As for the camera itself, it works fine and is pretty much just as I’d expect: a little busted up with a few scratches, but fully functioning nonetheless. It is old, so sometimes it will be glitchy or it would display low battery when it’s not actually low battery, but considering that the camera is old I’d I totally get that. Pictures turn out amazing though!

This series of Olympus Cameras is fantastic! I now own 2 FE 150s, 3 FE 170s, 1 FE 210 and now FE 310. These cameras are durable, small and easy to handle, easy and simple to operate. They take great pictures. The super macro is the reason I bought my first one, I needed a camera that I could take up close for details and this camera is excellent for that. I begin using my first FE 150 for taking photos for my Ebay sells, now I keep one in my purse, and car, I keep the rest through out the house charged and ready to go. I have 9 cats and want to be prepared for when an opportunity for a cute or funny shot happens. I will continue watching for great deals on these cameras. They can be used with a power cord, which I recommend for lengthy picture taking, but also use with 2- AA batteries

Avoid. The worst Olympus camera I've seen -- and most of the cameras are pretty good. Very slow when using flash, horrible quality when lighting is not ideal. No in-camera features like cropping or red-eye fix. Uses the old xD cards which are now expensive and hard to obtain. Battery life on AAs does appear to be very good. I can only reccomend this camera if you're getting it at a great price and going to use it almost exclusively for outdoor daytime shots... of course, any camera is good at that!
