I purchased a Bosch 1617 reconditioned router. I am extremely pleased. It was well packaged in a box that was labeled reconditioned Bosch like it may have come from the factory that way. When I opened the box it was packaged nicely and in addition to the router I received a manual, Allen wrench, two collet wrenches, and a few screws. The router itself is. 9 out of 10. I found 3 minor dings and it runs like new. For what I paid vs new this was a great deal. I did buy it now

    saved my wrists, light weight, good value

    the larger routers killed my wrist- the smaller routers could not deal with 2x6 boards. this was easy to use , and easy on my arthritic wrists, yet powerful enough to get the job I was working on, done.

    poorgreat tool

    The problem is really not with the Bosch router so much as the way it came was shipped and supposedly was a refurbished unit. The router came in a standard cardboard box with all the parts thrown in the Box and no Packaging to protect it it broke the base plates the plastic on the bottom of the router and the screws used to mount it to a Bosch router table was stripped. I was expecting as most refurbished things that I have bought the come in a factory box and be well packaged so CPO who sent this unit did terrible job the the Bosch router is great although I had to repair the strip screw and order a new plate for the bottom
