In some ways better than the original remote.
The arrow buttons on the original remote that came with our Insignia Roku TV wore out after about a year of daily use. This new remote works perfectly and has what feels like better built navigation buttons. They actually faintly click when pressed. There was no programming needed, just put in batteries and it worked. Overall quality seems very good though there is no rubber coating on the bottom like on the original. So it's a bit slippery. Disappointing
This is a very cheap replacement. Doesn’t have the weight or heft of my original. It doesn’t have a reset button on the back either. It uses triple A batteries as opposed to the double A. It wouldn’t program. I wound up using my old one which I had accidentally put through my washing machine. It still works .

Second remote.
I purchased this remote as a second one due to the fact that I do not want to be without one in case of an emergency, if anything should happen to the original one. I did not program the TV with this remote, but the person that did had no problems in doing so.
