The seller likes to hide behind their disclaimer that if they make a listing mistake, the pictures are "part of the description". I received an item that was poorly packed, not the item that was listed, and somehow they had no fault - in fact, they were not willing to admit to any mistake. So many hoops, no time.     Small and affordable

    I've had 3 Garmin Nuvi GPS Receivers. They all have worked great. This is my smallest unit yet, but it still has features of the larger models. When driving, I rarely look at the Garmin, but rather rely on the voice controls. It's a lot cheaper and just as effective.

    Stop selling non-functioning products

    The product is not as described. It turns off by itself it doesn't charge. The very few minutes that it stays on it shows no signal it doesn't find the places. Its junk.

    There are better GPS units but for the money and included features, its hard to beat this model. It will do the job intended with real ease and few mistakes. I say few because there are always going to be some either from the unit, your programmed features or your inputs.Be careful in choosing faster versus closer routes, it does make a difference in what route you receive. You need to have a fair idea of where you want to go and how to get there as this might take you a different way but they are invaluable for finding a strange location you have never heard of before or for planning different routes on garage sale day. The best advice is to play with all the features it has until you learn which does what and then keep and use the ones most advantageous to your needs. Please read my ...

    basic, accurate and easy to use GPS

    This little GPS works perfectly and has taken me across the country and through cities I'm unfamiliar with. Very useful and very accurate. I have had a few difficulties with tiny towns it doesn't know or very occasionally it wanting me to turn right into a snow bank! The screen is small but very clear though I mostly just listen to the voice. I get lost incredibly easily (directionally challenged!) and getting an inexpensive 2nd hand GPS was a risk (I had another which never worked) but one that has paid off over and over. The one thing I do do when I set out on a long trip is check with Mapquest first and compare the 2. Mapquest usually gives better and multiple suggestions but then I have to keep looking at them rather than listen to the Garmin. Using both works really well. I didn't ...

    With our Garmin nuvi 205 GPS we are happier than a hog in a Texas mud hole.

    We needed a second GPS and did not want to pay for a new one. I like the simplicity of use. We had to get used to it after having used another brand, however, I look forward to using it now. It does an excellent job. I have found the On/Off switch somewhat problematic. The one switch has three functions and getting them right with a stiff button is sometimes a problem. Our other GPS is a TomTom. Both are really easy to use, but the TomTom works better for us in selecting an alternate route or locating Points of Interest. Maybe it is all in what you get used to. We are happy with our buy and would do it again.
