Much improved sound quality.
I installed these in a '08 Crew cab Silverado. Took a little custom fitting since the original speakers are GM specific pods and I did not get aftermarket mounting brackets; I just made my own mounting rings. All that aside, the sound quality of these Rockford R165x6.5 3-ways are 10 times better that the original, almost decade old, speakers that came with the truck. I just did a straight up replacement with no amp and the difference in volume and quality is like day in night. I'm sure you could get even better sound if you have a nicer head unit other than the stock radio.I installed these in a '08 Crew cab Silverado. These speakers are great! I have a 2015 Subaru Impreza and the speakers sound great in it, even with a stock stereo. The sound quality is awesome and very clear. I would highly recommend these speaks to anyone and the price is great!!!

Good quality sound. Not much better than my factory Honda speakers. Was hoping for more highs but factory ones were pretty good. No amp just ran off deck. Only benefit is my woofer from factory was a Lil dostorted but OK in general. Had Polk audio 2 piece with seperate crossover in truck and those were way better. Take way more watts Get what you pay for. For small car they are like a stock replacement with way bigger magnets about a 6 of 10 in my book.Good quality sound.
