One of Hitchcock's best but least know American films. Great doc with Norman Lloyd included. I love Priscilla Lane and whatever Hitch thought of her and Robert Cummings they are perfect for this film. He wanted Barbara Stanwyck and Gary Cooper. Well they would have been so wrong as they were such big stars and would not have been very convincing as average Americans. Priscilla Lane was one of the famous Lane sisters. She was the prettiest and most talented and retired way too young. She was the best.
