Working with 1967 Chevy Impala original rear end. The drum to disk conversion kit, the new rotor where it mounts on the axle is wider than the old brake drum hub width. So when I put the tire/rim back on the axle, the rim does not go as far on the axle ‘hat’ to hold the rim in the center of the axle for it to be safe. Yes, it is 15” rim and turns when mounted and not rubbing. The axle ‘hat’/center needs to be longer 1/2 “ to account for the wider width of rotor.Has anyone else had this issue?
