Seller listed item with free shipping, then shipped it via USPS Ground in a Priority box (which USPS does not allow), and paid for literally 1 ounce of postage. The package was 7 pounds. He is scamming USPS and his buyers are paying the price.

A nice find
The radio functions well and sounds great. The only thing I wish I had looked at more closely is the fact that this is just a radio. Would have liked it more if it played cds but I worked it out . I bought another brand stand alone cd player and plugged it into the auxilliary portion of the Bose radio, Another thing that might be nice is the remote but I'll get one later. I like the radio good quality sound.The radio functions well and sounds great. The only thing I wish I had looked at more closely is the fact that this is just a radio. Older Bose Wave Radio Still works Great
I like the Bose Wave Radio features. The fact that they have backup batteries to keep the clock going and the settings held in case of a power outage is great. Also the fact that the clock automatically dims and brightens based on the room lighting is great. The radios sound very good too. For an older used radio, it is very good.

This is a great product. I ordered a brand new Bose at Christmas but sent it back because the quality was not as good as the older ones, primarily the volume of sound. The newer ones will not go as high as the older ones, in my opinion. Whomever had this radio before me took very good care of it and I buy from that person/entity again.

Bose Wave Radio AWR1-1W Review
We had one in an office I worked at over a decade ago. I always liked the sound of it and I needed something small for my home office / man cave. There isn't room for a component system and I didn't want the visual clutter of one anyway. The Bose unit is very nice looking and the first gen are well priced used. It came with a remote for a Bose Wave Radio w/CD player and the seller said he couldn't guarantee the remote worked. I put a new battery in the remote and it didn't work. I looked around and on the Bose site saw they had the best prices and selection of remotes. I got the one for the Wave Radio without CD player for $15 and it works perfectly. To make it more versatile, I purchased a bluetooth receiver and plugged it into the AUX port on the back. Now I mainly stream Pandora, Spotify and YouTube through it. I paid about $25 for the bluetooth receiver on Amazon (Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Bluetooth Streaming). I have it sitting on a small mahogany end table and it looks as sharp as can be.
