You’ll never get lost on a road trip again when your motor vehicle is equipped with a TomTom ONE N14644. It's a very handy navigation tool. This portable GPS receiver measures 0.8 by 2.8 by 2.8 inches and weighs approximately 6 ounces. This GPS unit is preloaded with maps of the United States and Canada, and it’s very simple to use. Maps can be set to display either as ‘day colors’ or as ‘night colors.’ The TomTom ONE N14644 can also be set to shift between day colors and night colors automatically.The TomTom ONE mounts easily on your dashboard by means of a suction cup. The device comes with both an auto plug-in cord and a USB cable. The TomTom ONE N14644 uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that carries a two-hour charge. To recharge your device, simply plug it into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter or into an electrical outlet in your home. The USB cable enables you to update the TomTom ONE’s maps as needed by plugging the unit into your computer. The device also has a Bluetooth transmitter and can be used with any smartphone that’s set up with a GPS app.Roads are displayed as easy-to-read graphics on a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Your TomTom ONE N14644 presents you with navigation details that include your current position, your next turn, and traffic information. Plan a route to your destination by tapping the road map screen to bring up the Main Menu. Tap the option labeled Navigate to… on the upper left of the display. You’ll then be guided through a series of screens where you’ll enter information about your destination. When you’re finished, just tap Done, and your TomTom will begin giving you spoken instructions. The TomTom ONE N14644 streamlines navigation through a number of GPS customization options. You can save destinations like your home or place of work so you don’t have to keep reentering addresses. Just enter those locations in the Favorites category. You can also use the Options choice in the Map Settings to customize specific details you want GPS maps to highlight. Checking Favorites will bring up a yellow star next to each map point destination you’ve previously saved. Checking Names will display the names of the towns you’re driving through on the map, while Traffic shows current traffic patterns. Points of Interest showcases specific locations that you may find interesting or useful throughout the course of your trip. You can choose among various GPS categories in setting up your Points of Interest. If you no longer want your maps to display GPS customization settings, simply uncheck the appropriate box in the Map Settings Options menu.You can customize your TomTom’s spoken instructions, too. The TomTom ONE N14644 system is preloaded with an assortment of voice options. You can also turn off spoken GPS instructions altogether if you prefer to navigate through visual instructions alone.The GPS directions your TomTom ONE gives you can be altered if you’d prefer another route. Say the device instructs you to drive on a heavily trafficked road, but you don’t like driving through heavy traffic. Simply bring up the Main Menu and tap the Find alternative… option. Its GPS customization options, small size, and user-friendly interface makes the TomTom ONE N14644 an invaluable resource when you're traveling in the U.S. or Canada.

    Stopped working after a week

    The GPS was fine for a week, but for whatever reason, It stopped working on the right side. I tried to calibrate it, reset it more times than I can think of and still no good! If i press a button on the right side, a key on the left side will pop up when I tried to put in an address. I've had to power on/off when I would try to push a key and something totally different would pop up. Can not get this thing to work. I don't even leave it in my car. It's been in my house for almost 2 weeks now, hoping it will magically work again one day, but no dice!

    I can't believe after all this time, (8 years to be exact) My "TomTom ~ n14644" finally "crapped out" & now I'm on E~Bay buying the same exact make/model because of the quality workmanship & durability of this amazing product ! It is definetly in a class all by itself ! How many electronic products have you purchased throughout the years' & it actually lasted this long besides your car. Not too many ? I can attest to that ! Big Time ! It's just one of those "almost perfect products" on todays' market in 2015. That's worth mentioning in my book. On that note, if you're looking for "one~of~the~best" & in the right price range, this is your ticket ! The price is so damn reasonable, & then on top of that, the reliability alone on this one GPS, it doesn't happen a lot. That's for sure. If you ...

    Very user friendly, compact unit. Well worth the money.

    I've owned and used a few of these, and always found them to be reliable and easy to use. I like the TomTom user interface layout better than some other brands - it just seems more logical and easier to get infomation into the unit. Size wise, it's big enough to be seen, and yet small enough not to be in the way of drivers vision. Overall a great unit.

This TomTom GPS receiver is a small unit that is equipped with a 3.5-inch screen, and it measures 0.8 inches by 2.8 inches by 2.8 inches. The unit weighs under 2 lbs.
