    It APPEARS to work okay but....

    I have yet to see a cop after any of the alarms have sounded so........ On the other hand, the user manual was a great improvement over the usual info found in the user instructions. Also, it looks impressive to my passengers.

    Cobra is a no! Escort is a yes!

    At first, I thought the only downside to owning a cobra (the cheaper brand of radar) would only be that I would receive way more false alarms, however this isn't the case. I returned this and bought a escort passport s55. This was 2x more than this one but it performs 4x better! In 2 weeks with the cobra It successfully detected 2 cops before I saw them and the escort had detected 3 cops on only 3 days of usage! And it detected it with a good range. The cobra will NOT be what you want, trust me. Look into an s55!

    Alert overkill

    Have been using this unit for a couple of years. The only problem is it continues to warn of a train approaching; Sometimes when traveling behind or near a tractor trailer, or just randomly. Otherwise it's ok for a remanufactured item.

    Not Much Punkin

    Detection range not great as was in sight of the "K" radar before unit barked. However, very intuitive as alerts to train crossing where tracks are yet to be laid. Update: lets you know "after" law enforcement has pulled the trigger on you.

    terrible range compared to Escort

    i own a Escort 9500i and i put this one in the window with it. The 2 radars never went off at the same time or even close. Train what train 15 miles away. I need something i can depend on for my husband. Is it terrible because it is refurbished or its just a cheap bad product?
