    Great value, great features, compact, but has foibles

    Pros: Features that most higher priced GPS Don't have. Such as Lane assist and text to speech. Once it managed to retrieve acquisition, it generates a route pretty fast. Resolution is above average for its price range. Very compact Cons: Takes too long to acquire position. I average about 10-15 minutes. But after that its fine. There's no LED that indicates that the unit is charging once plugged into a car or computer. Won't impress your friends because the brand isn't as big as Garmin or TomTom Conclusion: Great unit for the price. The only legitimate thing that I'm annoyed about the unit is the length of time that it takes to acquire a position. It only happens once when you turn it on and set your first route. Other than that, it's hard to not like it.

    Have GPS will travel

    This unit has several features that I love. The lane assist for one makes it a breeze to navigate those crazy exits that you would normally miss. Also the current speed limit is great ,so you never have to wonder what the speed limit is on a road. One down side is that if your a speeder it constantly warns you that you are traveling to fast. Other then that the only other down side is that when first turned on it takes a little long to connect to the satellite to update you current position. however once it does connect it works great. All in all its a great device for the price.

    bad product

    thought this would be a good product. very disappointed. first of all they don't tell you that this unit is not able to use a traffic card. so your out of luck on that. the unit doesn't always announce street names or turns. or it tells you to go right when you should go left. the text to speech is bad. don't know how this product got any good reviews at all. not worth the money because the navigation is just not dependable. wouldn't trust it. with this unit you might enter alaska and end up in florida as your destination. would get a refund if i could and could not recommend this product to anyone. called customer service about the poor performance and was blown off. they said the poor performance was a software problem that they would have the engineers work on it but didn't know ...

    Navigon 2000S GPS Receiver

    Difficult for those not familiar with products like these to find on/off switch. Thought the monitor was a bit small but adjusment was easy. Price was good. Make sure you preprogram a there and back route, pressing the correct key, to avoid the device constantly wanting to return to your home base. Set-up was a bit confusing but really overall once you figured all the small "kinks" the product wqs accurate, helpful, a definite asset and a much needed addition to our vehicle.

    Very good GPS device

    I bought this particular unit after doing about 2 hours of resaearch online. When it came, I was pleased with the size of it's screen, and it's overall look. I took me a few minutes to learn how to use it, but once I did, I took for a couple of "test drives." For one test, I used a regular voice, which did not show or read the names/ numbers of highways and streets. For the second test, I switched to a computer voice, and it showed and said the names and numbers of streets and highways. Contrary to some of the reviews I had read, the volume on my unit is plenty loud enough to be heard. It's very nice, very well-priced, and functions fine. Get one.
