Sony str-850 is an amazing home theater system
I was able to find a smart phone remote control that runs through my internet but I bought a system without a remote becouse it saved me 20$ but without the remote it is impossible to do some of the things that this receiver has to offer. On the other hand won't managed to get almost all the functions they had accessible with the 14 buttons on the receiver and they are flawlessly incorporated into the flow of the frame. I don't know if the auto calibration works becouse I have not bothered with it. Excellent product and value for 2014 model
I've had this Sony AV Receiver model since mid 2014 and it's been excellent - pretty much used every day + it's seen it's fair share of loud party events and operated flawlessly. There are a few minor bugs with the user interface (input related mainly) but otherwise the onscreen user interface is excellent to use. Highly rate this model, and welcome back Sony to the AV receiver market.
