A good phone.
I've been using LG Optimus V phone since it was first available. It may be far behind today's beauties, but it's easy to use and does enough to make me keep it for the grandfathered $25 plan. This was bought as a replacement for the same model that enjoyed a dip in the hot tub but didn't come all the way back to full operation even with three days of dry rice bags. This replacement arrived quickly, in better condition than described, and works perfectly.I've been using LG Optimus V phone since it was first available. Good phone the right person.
Ok before I write this review I just want everyone to understand Im a stay at home mom and we do not have a home phone. So I just really needed some thing simple to throw in my purse and use in case of emergencies when Im out. At that point I wasnt really big with using my cell phone for anything other than phone calls and I was rarely doing that and AT&T was killing me with they're 2 year contract and overages.(For my husband and I it was $185.00 a month for 2 android phones) With that being said I chose this phone because it was fairly cheap (Sells for about $35.00 - $55.00) and Virgin mobiles plan ($35.00 a month- 300 mins, Unlimited text & internet) was right up my alley. I really wasn't expecting much from the phone as long as I could call my husband and family I was happy. I have ... And as for texting I love the fact that this phone has a talk to text option which is really handy. The camera takes ok pictures and the whole phone is very easy to use considering I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old and they can work it just fine. However the screen is kinda hard to text on so this is why I use my talk to text option and the battery life isnt very long so I keep a car charger in the car. there isnt a flash on this phone and you can not download a bunch of app's because there isnt alot of space on the phone its self. So alot of times I find myself deleting the App's I dont really need or use or transferring the ones I want to keep (Or can transfer) over to my SD card. Dont get me wrong I really like this phone. But with everything in life nothing is perfect but it suits my needs for the price and monthly bill.

Great phone, worth the money because of the plans offered w/ NO contract!
This phone is overall great. I gave it a 4 stars for features because it is only at android 2.2 and limited and does not have a physical keyboard. Ease of use was a 5 stars because android itself is very simple to use even for beginners. Battery life I gave a 2 because when you use the phone in reality it only lasts for about 8-12 hours before the battery dies and that is with only light internet usage and few telephone calls. I do have it set to check email every 5 minutes. The WiFi is on and gps is only on when i use Google maps or similar service. Value for money a 4 because it is a great phone but one star less than 5 because it wasn't subsidized by a contract thus the phone cost more. But over all its a great deal because your not in a contract with Virgin mobile and its only $25 ... This phone is overall great. Moving on from the LG rumor touch I have to say my third smart phone (after the droid 1 & motorola triumph)is something I am enjoying very much. I was in the market for a smart phone and being with virgin mobile I tried the motorola triumph which ended up being a big mistake (so i returned that phone). LG Optimus V turned out to be better The Good: Has a nice camera for taking pictures during the day or with lots of light 3.2 mega pix. nothing special but handy. captures video responsive the screen & buttons lots of apps on the android market or now Google market which this phone can handle good amount of internal space on the phone for apps works as a music player /mp3 player plays videos now as for the phone I get a good signal in my area and i can hear ... Virgins 2.5 GB internet it good but why not a whole number like 3. small but when typing without swipe you end up pressing the wrong keys. Some cases battery gets hot! maybe because of me running WiFi hot spot (thanks to quick settings app) Over all it not the best smart phone but if you don't want to spend a lot of money but want an android phone it better than the motorola triumph & samsung intercept. I like being able to check my Facebook & email when ever i need too And thanks to this phone i can.

For the money I paid. This phone is great.
I wanted to try a Android phone, but didn't want to spend a lot of money out of the gate. The price I paid was in my range. I wasn't crazy about not having a regular keyboard. But once I got used to the swype key feature. I don't miss the keyboard. The voice to text feature is fine, but you have to speak clearly, and be in a quiet place. This phone surpassed my expectations. Still learning all the features that it has. It's my first smart phone, so I can't compare it to anything right now. My main complain is that the battery life is not the greatest. You have to make sure that all the apps are not on, and the GPS will kill the battery life quickly.
