Great Heinlein short story makes OK movie.
It's OK. It is a fairly faithful (though expended) version of Robert Heinlein's short story "All You Zombies". I watched it for that reason, and I don't really expect to watch it a second time. The original Heinlein story is sort of a science fiction tall tale which involves the paradoxes in which a time traveler interacts with his past and future selves. If you're a Heinlein fan, or a fan of time travel stories, watch it, but don't expect it to be the best movie you've ever seen. If you're not a Heinlein fan, you may find it to be sort of weird in places. In any case, it's a bit stiff. The original story was written in 1958, so the dialog and concepts (which are actually fairly faithfully incorporated in this movie) don't necessarily translate smoothly for a 21st Century ... This is a great, avant-garde,science fiction film of sorts. It is it’s own weird ,unique kind of story. Well acted by everyone, with a great cinematic style. I believe most people who love strange, hard to classify movies, that are hard to understand, will enjoy this one.
