    Light weight, easy to use, poor battery life.

    This is the easiest to use, lightest GPS for hiking. No maps mean no screen clutter, so it's easy to see the breadcrumb trail for where you've been, and find your way back. The internal compass makes sighting a breeze. The barometric altimeter is unnecessary, as the satellite altimeters already work fine. Not so useful for driving. OK on a mountain bike, but the compass will not work when it's mounted on the handlebars, so you have to move a few feet before it knows its way. Very easy to save waypoints, and easy to access them. The battery life is poor compared to other models, but a new set of AAAs will last you all day. As with all the Garmins, if you put it in your pants pocket, it will lose reception. If you are traveling light, then this is your best choice.

    Nice and compact GPS

    The feature I really like about this item is the computer screen where you can customize it with just about any feature you want. I bought it for the variometer, altimeter, bearing and speed since I fly hot air balloons. I compared the altimeter with my other set of instruments and I think it is very accurate. I also like the fact that the battery last for a long time. I find it user friendly and easy to operate. The only down size would be the size of the screen, and the fact that it is a black/white screen. But who cares, it sure does the work for me and I recommend it to everyone.

    Great GPS!!!

    I bought this GPS to use while I ride my bike in the mountains and it works great. It is also great for putting on the dash of your car because it has rubber on the bottom it doesn't move around. Works great as a compass and gives your max speed and average speed. Also has great games to play to help you figure out all the features. Great product with many uses.
