The movie wasn't really "Better than expected", as I already knew about it. It's just the BEST film version of Agatha Christie's "Ten Little N_____s" that I've seen, so far.

This is a very good adaptation of Agatha Christie's murder mystery "And Then There Were None." If you are into who done it's, you need to get this one. First the bad news; this production was made in 1945 and so it is in Black and White, and some of the long shots are not as crisp as you would like. But the audio is good, the story is excellent, and the acting is outstanding. The cast is made up of many familiar faces. Barry Fitzgerald (Going my Way, The Quiet Man, etc.), Walter Huston (Treasure of Sierra Madre), Roland Young (Topper), Louis Hayward (Man in the Iron Mask), and Rod La Rocque (Beyond Tomorrow.) Ten people, each with a dark secret, are invited to stay on a secluded island estate by a mysterious host, where they are murdered one by one. Sounds like "House on Haunted Hill" with ... I watched this movie with my grandma on television in the early sixties. Then it was "Ten Little Indians." Order this film. You will enjoy it. The DVD was in great shape and arrived sooner than anticipated.

in this incarnation, the picture is unfocused and the sound in poor. I threw it away after viewing the entire film. Just not worth keeping. Sadly disappointed in the poor product.
