    So far, so good...product website reviews I read after purchase are scarry!

    Just got it. Plug and play on my windows 7 64 bit went easy. Backed up computer and set up back-up schedule. Hope to use it for extra Dish DVR programming with an AC powered hub. Have to contact Dish and pay activation fee. 1st external (portable or otherwise) hard drive I have purchased. After purchase I went to the Toshiba website and read some mostly bad reviews unlike the mostly good eBay reviews, so the jury is still out in my case...

    I think the product is great but has a faulty cord. Great for the price.

    Bought for extra storage for my laptop. No issues other than the cable from the pc to the ext. hard drive is faulty. I have another Toshiba Canvio that use the cord from that one. I will buy another cord later on. I like it and it works great. It's the only brand I've ever tried and I'm happy with the way it and my other Toshiba Canvio work.

    Toshiba external hard drive HDTC 610XK3B1 has a good look, good performance and is reliable . Compact size, good value of money . It's light and easy to bring anywhere.

    So far so good, works well!

    So far so good, works well! Seems quick, easy to use. Backed up my computer and re-formatted. I have another external hard drive this one is about 1/3 the physical size which is nice. 1 TB is a lot of storage for me, everything from my computer fit and hardly used any space.

    Good Performance and Great Value

    This is my second purchase of Toshiba 1 TB External Portable hard drive. I had the previous one over a year now. It was fast with USB 3 connection and reliable. This one has a polished surface while my previous one has matte finish. That is the only difference that I can make. I like matte finish better but that is just my personal taste. Other than that, it works great. Compared to Toshiba, my other Seagate 1 TB Portable drive is slower (USB 2) and larger, with the same capacity. And it is more expensive. So this portable drive is a great value.
