Quick delivery from the seller. OSD makes affordable, functional and excellent electronic equipment. This preamplifier replaces an audio selector switch I have + more. My phono comes alive and every input I connected to it. I got bass, midrange and treble controls, volume, loudness, mic, headphone jack, tape monitor switch, etc. For $80, it is a real bargain. This preamplifier is in addition to the OSD Nero XA5180 amp I recently purchased. What a difference in sound I now have. Stellar!

Good seller. Preamp is so so. There is cross talk between sources. If I have a CD playing on CD and switch to aux, aux2, phono. You can still here CD in the background. Also the Mid range contour is closer to lower mid bass. If you are gonna use it with one source. Its okay. Multiple sources. Skip it. Find a used unit of better quality.

    Analog is irreplaceable

    I don't like Digital tone control format for years. Receiver's tone controls have to be set from surround to stereo mode to set bass and treble. Too slow for my taste. A preamp before the receiver bypasses that bad design. I am glad I discovered OSD brand audio equipment. Combined with my new OSD Nero 5 channel 150/250 watt p/channel amp, my audio equipment has dramatically improved in sound. OSD is affordable but what comes out of it is exceptional. I like to turn the knobs quickly without going through the motions of pressing other buttons to get a result, such as setting tone controls That is when Analog comes into play. I am happy with the purchase of both preamp and amp from OSD. I think one should give OSD brand some serious consideration.

    Active Preamplifier

    OSD Preamp-1 is a good value. However, it does add to the overall sound rather than be neutral. The tone controls are active, not passive. The low cut filter cuts out the entire bass band rather than the subsonic bass found on most preamps. It still sounds OK, but best used where accuracy of sound is not critical.
