Weak database
The only issue for me is that the data relative to our area is lacking in a big way. I have taken the time to input speed cameras and a few speed traps. In every case the database is undated and interactive going forward.

Poor performance and horrible UI make this a hard pass
I really wish I had never purchased this Cobra SPX7800BT Radar detector. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. The user interface is poorly designed, the features and settings are horrible and the performance is even worse. It's constantly alerting to threats that just do not exist. For example the "Train Approaching" warning activates at least half a dozen times on my morning commute, yet the closest train track is over 20 miles away! Pop alerts, K alerts, KA alerts are constant, but only for a very brief second. Laser alerts when I'm sitting in my driveway at home. To make things worse, there is no option to disable only certain types of alerts (like the constant false Train alert). To frustrate this further, the color display is absolutely useless in the daytime, even when ... I really wish I had never purchased this Cobra SPX7800BT Radar detector. Cobra best value same features as top dollar ones
This is now my 6th Cobra radar detector in 15 years. I like that this has the same features as the XRS model but with a more covert design. It has excellent detection of all radar and laser based hits and even warns you of emergency vehicles approaching. I have relied on Cobra radar detectors to keep my commute hassle free and it does.

I thought I really wanted one of these but now I’m not so sure.
Over the years are gone it’s fine of radar detectors. I even have an older iRadar that works better than this one. This thing is constantly going off giving me warnings there is nothing around. I’ve also getting train warnings when there are no train tracks anywhere near my area it’s actually quite annoying.

Great iteam brand new fast posting works as should super very pleased with it no complaints what so ever. I don't speed but like to know we're the cameras are do not like points on clean driving licence if I am not whatching speedo and it might be couple miles an hour over top more so build up places IE towns centres housing estates etc.
