They Don't Make Them Like This Anymore
This is the world we live in: it's easier and cheaper to buy a used classic than to try to find a good modern boombox with even basic features. It's a good 'un, though. I would have bought it 30 years ago, too.

The first thing you notice about this unit is the incredibly slick, clean design. It draws attention and admiring comments from most everyone that sees it. This particular unit is a bit wide, and you will need extra desk space for the front loading CD tray to retract. The radio reception is strong and clear (and in my case did not need the antennae to be unfurled). The overall sound of the system is very strong, I believe the other reviewer of this product may have received a damaged product. The radio presets are tuned via a dial which takes some getting used to. I would have preferred another dial for volume control rather than the +/- volume control button. The tape player works fine, except there is no auto reverse. The LCD display is clear and shows the time when the unit is turned ...
