Sounds Great, Cheap plastic
Bought this for my Galaxy DX-94HP that I'm using as a base station, the speaker sounds GREAT!!! and the added filter works as advertised eliminating some of the "hiss" associated with radio frequencies... the only con is that it looks cheap... I mean really cheap. Cheap plastic, mold could be better and the "Astatic" brand label at the bottom of the speaker came full of glue everywhere, very sloppy. After looking at external speakers for awhile and trying to decide on which one I wanted to get to pair with my CB Radio so everything is just like I wanted it I just decided to give this one a shot. Don’t be fooled by the dollar amount of the higher priced ones with a bunch of words that doesn’t make it any better than this one. It brings sound quality, durability, and is still compact enough to mount just about anywhere you want it. After looking at external speakers for awhile and trying to decide on which one I wanted to get to pair with my CB Radio so everything is just like I wanted it I just decided to give this one a shot.
