    Good remote with Roku function

    I bought this remote mainly because it has a Roku function. It does have all the functionality of the OEM Roku but you can use for normal day to day activities. You will have to experiment to find the keys that work with the Roku. The remote will handle 10 total devices. The battery life is good. It is easy to program if you follow the instructions. I bought two customer returns who looked they could program it. The only negative I have with the remote is that is difficult to useit in low light situations. I would like to have more unique dimples on certain keys so you can navigate by touch.

    Not a real original Sony RM VLZ620

    Product did not accept code for my insignia sound bar or did it learn from the original remote for it. Had to trick it to do what I needed and then it only adjusts volume by multiple clicks of the volume button up or down, not able to hold the up or down volume button for continuous changes. My original sony RM VLZ620 did. I did not receive any original packaging or documentation. Had to look everything up on the Internet.

    Control some items out the box

    I Think i made a good choice with this as out the box it could already control my Sony reciever HT-C550W with out any codes to enter. The same with Sony DVD recorder RGR_GX7, CD/DVD player CD670D, Sony 200 disc DVD player DVP-CX850D. I tried several codes to get my Samsung 50 inch plasma to work with this remote. None worked until I used the 5 digit code that the remotes support page shows. SO 3 and 4 digit codes did not work for Samsung. The price was so cheap i thought I would give this remote a try.

    pretty good universal remote.

    as far as universal remotes go, Sony makes a very good one for the price. You could get a better remote if your willing to throw down $100 or more on a Logitech remote, but honestly I have two different logitech remotes and I use this one more often because the buttons on the logitech remotes tend to stop working after a while. For the money you can't go wrong with this remote.

    This remote I recently bought, and it best suit my sony t.v. and it definitely replaced my sony lost remote control that came with it at first with this remote I don't have to worry on clicking on every button on my t.v. I definitely recommend this remote control to all these Sony television models but please make sure you get the right type of remote controllers 10 out of 10 highly recommend
